In the space of just 12 hours, nine people have been shot and killed on the Cape Flats, with most of them concentrated in the Athlone area. • In Belgravia, the body of a 32-year-old man was found in 3rd Avenue on Sunday night. Another man was injured in the shooting. • In Silvertown, five people were shot and killed in separate incidents. Police officers responded to a complaint of a shooting in Lower Klipfontein Road on Sunday night. Upon arrival at the scene, they found the bodies of two men aged 19 and 36 lying next to each other in the kitchen area of the house, with multiple gunshot wounds on their upper bodies. A third victim aged 22 was shot in the head and was taken to a nearby medical facility where he later died due to injury sustained. In a separate incident two men were shot and killed in Lower Klipfontein Road, near Blossom Street. This shooting took place at around 10.30am on Monday. • In Happy Valley, Mfuleni, three people, including a woman, were shot and killed during the early hours of Monday morning. According to police the victims were found in a shack, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
