Tuesday 12 May 2026 @ 18:45 Water supply from Lewis drive reservoir that feeds Toti Berea, sections of Ipahla, Kingsway (Andrew Zondo) going south, Beach road, CBD into Ross and area south of Adams (Khotho Mkhunya) Just before dark, a burst was detected on the 375mm trunk main north of Umdoni road in the bush next to the N2. This line feeds all of the areas mentioned above. Lewis drive reservoir is presently closed due to this which affects the entire Lewis drive reservoir supply network. While awaiting confirmation of resources allocation against the backdrop of availability of contractors, in-house technicians will attempt to manipulate valves and supply through double hydrants to reduce the extent of the affected area.
