- Water outage notice - Effective immediately (Start) *PUBLIC NOTICE: UNPLANNED WATER SUPPLY SHUTDOWN – WARD 19 CBD* - Date: Wednesday, 26 August 2026 - Time: 10:41 am The Municipality wishes to inform all residents and businesses of Ward 19 CBD of an unplanned water supply shutdown The shutdown is due to theft and vandalism of a PRV (Pressure Reducing Valve) component, which has resulted in multiple burst pipes on the inlet pipe to the Saunders Street Reservoir The water supply will be isolated to undertake emergency repairs. At this stage no timeframe for restoration can be confirmed, as the team is still assessing the extent of the damage. *Affected Area: Ward 19 CBD* The Municipality apologises for the inconvenience caused and will provide updates as work progresses. Residents are urged to use water sparingly where available and to store water where possible. (END)
