🔥SUCCESS REPORT🔥 Date: Saturday, 19 September 2026 Time: Approximately 14:00 Area: Benoni Information was received regarding a vehicle suspected of being involved in multiple vehicle theft incidents within the Brakpan, Boksburg and Benoni areas. Upon receiving the information, the ECCA (East Rand Community Assist Control Room) immediately began monitoring and searching for the vehicle. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was detected by an LPR camera operating within the area. Ground members from CCIN and various private security companies responded swiftly and tracked the vehicle to the sports grounds situated in Brodigan Street Benoni. Upon arrival, members spotted the suspects inside the sports grounds, where they were in the process of stealing a Toyota Prado. When the suspects noticed responding members approaching, they attempted to flee the sports grounds in their vehicle. Due to the rapid coordination between members of Anti-Hijacking Units, law enforcement and private security, the suspects were successfully blocked in and prevented from leaving the premises. During further investigation, members identified a second vehicle believed to be involved in vehicle theft activities inside the sports grounds. Additional members immediately responded and successfully intercepted the second vehicle. The two vehicles used by the suspects were identified as: White Toyota Corolla White Haval H6 Both vehicles were displaying false registration plates. Further investigation established that the Toyota Corolla had also been positively identified as stolen in Brakpan. A total of four suspects were successfully apprehended on scene. Various items of equipment being used for vehicle theft and signal jamming were also recovered from the vehicles. This successful operation demonstrates the importance of intelligence sharing, LPR technology, effective control room coordination and the rapid response of law enforcement and private security partners.
