⚠️KZN VIP MAINTAINS HIGH ALERT FOLLOWING GATHERING OF FOREIGN NATIONALS IN PHOENIX KZN VIP has been alerted by multiple community members and stakeholders regarding a gathering of foreign nationals at the Phoenix Grounds situated on the corner of Ashvale Drive and Longbury Drive. Information received indicates that the individuals are gathering as part of a coordinated effort to relocate from various informal settlements and surrounding areas, with the intention of facilitating their safe repatriation to their respective countries. At this stage, there have been no reports of any criminal activity associated with the gathering. It is further understood that buses have been arranged by the relevant role players to transport some of the foreign nationals later this afternoon. As a result, the Phoenix Grounds have been identified as a central gathering point while transport and logistical arrangements are being finalized. In the interest of public safety, KZN VIP, together with the Community Policing Forum (CPF), SAPS, and other relevant stakeholders, will be maintaining a heightened presence in the area and closely monitoring the situation for any potential threats or incidents that may arise. Residents are urged to remain calm, avoid spreading unverified information, and report any suspicious or unlawful activity to the relevant authorities. The safety and security of all community members, neighbouring properties, and those gathered at the venue remain a priority. Further updates will be provided should the situation warrant additional communication.
