JUST IN: ANOTHER SUSPECT ARRESTED IN REIGER PARK SLAYING OF AGU MEMBERS A 27-year-old suspect is expected to appear before the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court tomorrow, 21 August 2026, following his arrest yesterday, 19 August 2026, by the Serious Organised Crime Investigation team based in Germiston. Through an intelligence-driven operation and meticulous investigation, the team traced the suspect to Ekurhuleni, where he was arrested in connection with the brutal killing of two police officers and two women in Reiger Park on 7 August 2026. The latest arrest brings to three the number of suspects who have been identified and charged in connection with the killings. The 27-year-old suspect faces charges similar to those of his co-accused, one of whom is reportedly a relative. The Acting National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, Lieutenant General Sphesihle Nkosi, commended the team for its swift and methodical response, which led to the suspect’s arrest. “The Hawks will remain steadfast in our efforts to investigate and apprehend those who involve themselves in taking innocent lives, particularly the lives of our law enforcement officers,” Lieutenant General Nkosi said.
