A hijacked motor vehicle has been recovered, one suspect arrested, and an AK-47 assault rifle seized during separate operations in Gauteng. During Operation Karabo, which targets illegal mining activities, a suspect in Mohlakeng, West Rand. The suspect was found in possession of an AK-47 assault rifle with one fully loaded magazine. In a separate incident in Nellmapius, a hijacked Toyota Hilux that was found being stripped at a residential property. The vehicle had earlier been hijacked in the Silverton policing area. also recovered are two signal jammers and one portable power station from inside the vehicle. The suspect fled the scene before officers could make an arrest, and investigations are continuing.
