🚱 #RandparkRidge #Boskruin #Northgate #Sundowner #Northriding #NorthridingAH #KyaSand #Bromhof Date: 16 July 2026 Time: 07h55 – Cllr Devon Steenkamp *REMINDER:* Rand Water's planned maintenance will commence tomorrow, *17 July 2026, and is scheduled to last 12 hours.* During this period, the Eikenhof System is expected to operate at approximately 50% pumping capacity, which will reduce the volume of water supplied into Joburg Water's network. This is expected to place pressure on several reservoirs supplying our area, including: ▫️Boschkop Reservoir ▫️Honeydew Reservoir ▫️Randpark Ridge Reservoir ▫️Olivedale Reservoir ▫️Cosmo City Reservoir As a result, residents in Ward 134 may experience low water pressure or intermittent water outages, particularly in higher-lying areas and during peak demand periods. Of concern, some areas directly supplied by Rand Water have already reported running dry this morning, ahead of the planned maintenance. This raises concerns that the impact on downstream systems, including Ward 134, could be more severe than initially anticipated. Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water for essential household use today and this weekend. I will continue engaging Joburg Water and provide updates as more information becomes available.
