29 May 2026 Residents are hereby informed that the Kroonstad Water Treatment Works is currently not operational due to mechanical faults detected. This has exacerbated the low reservoirs levels experienced yesterday as a result of the power outage which lasted for approximately 19hrs.Most areas of Maokeng and Kroonstad are currently experiencing low pressure to no water, as a result of non operational Water Treatment Works.The team is currently on-site resolving the problem, therefore there's currently no determination as to when will the Water Treatment Works be back in operation, but regular updates will be issued regarding any developments on this matter.
