#ScholarTransportAccident A minibus taxi and a bus both transporting learners were involved in a serious collision on the road between Jupiter and Diana villages in the Mashashane area. The Polokwane Municipality’s Fire and Rescue Services are at the scene, where emergency teams are working to rescue trapped learners using the Jaws of Life. The municipality says at this stage, preliminary reports indicate that lives have tragically been lost, including that of a driver and two learners, however, the situation remains active. Municipal spokesperson Willy Mosoma says their thoughts are with the learners, their families, the school communities and everyone affected by this devastating incident. He says the municipality urges motorists to exercise extreme caution in the area and, where possible, to avoid the scene to allow emergency services unhindered access. IMS
