Unplanned water interruption in Fourways due to a burst pipe. Repairs are complete, and water supply has been opened. Customers may experience low water pressure or no water while the system stabilises.
Safety
I have to share this. This afternoon around 13:00 at the Winnie Mandela intersection going towards Sandton and Monte. There were about 5 private cars with armed men whose faces were uncovered, driving at a fast speed, cutting people off, and pushing cars out of the way. What unsettled me is: if this was a private security company, where is the discretion? They showed their guns, showed their faces, and caused chaos in traffic just to pass. Since when do security companies make it so obvious? You're supposed to be discreet in operations. I just find this incident very strange because it's not normal for a private security company to do that, and I've got a bad feeling about it. I called SAPS, and they told me I was supposed to report it when it happened. But I had a big day at the hospital, and he said they can't do anything without a case number or number plates. It happened so fast I couldn't snap any pictures, though he did say they will patrol the area. If anyone else saw this on Winnie Mandela, please notify SAPS in Douglasdale. It could just be an uneducated, stupid security company breaking rules, or it could be a corrupt company. No legitimate security company shows guns in cars with their windows rolled down and pushes cars out the way to pass. If you are on your way to deal with bad people, please be more discreet so you don't scare the public. It could be nothing, but it's best to be safe than sorry.please if you have were on winnie at that time and saw the same thing please report to saps.i know we cant do much but its worth a try.
