Water Update 05 August 2026 Municipal water teams have implemented operational adjustments to support the continued recovery and stability of the water distribution system. As part of these interventions, pressure at different outlets has been reduced while valve settings are being reviewed and recalibrated to optimise system performance. In addition, the 500 mm pipeline will be reopened to improve water distribution across the network. These adjustments will result in operating in lower pressure than usual which is necessary to maintain supply and support system recovery under the current conditions. Municipal teams will continue to monitor the system closely and make further adjustments where necessary to improve water supply to affected areas. Residents are encouraged to continue using water sparingly while the system stabilises. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
