Information Table, Community Engagement and Voter Registration Assistance – This Week Good morning, residents, We will be available at various locations throughout the week to engage with residents on matters of concern and to assist anyone who requires help with the IEC online voter registration process ahead of the upcoming Local Government Election. We will also have a petition available calling for urgent action to improve air quality in Centurion. Air quality has become a significant concern for our community, and we believe this matter requires greater attention from the Gauteng Provincial Government. Your support by signing the petition will help strengthen our call for action. Update on the Planned Rand Water Outage for 17 July 2026: Good evening residents, on 17 July Rand Water will continue with the second phase of the Palmiet and Mapleton systems. This is scheduled as a 1 day maintenance process relating to the electricity feed upgrades to these systems. There is a briefing session with municipal officials and Rand Water tomorrow to discuss the detail after which the City will sent out official communication. Similar to phase 1 during May and June 2026, there will be supply to our ward. During the maintenance process the feed from Palmiet and Mapleton to our reservoir systems for our ward will be cut. During June 2026, with a similar outage, we came through 4 days without having water interuptions in Zwartkop, the Centurion CBD, Die Hoewes and Doringkloof. The same status quo will apply with this one day outage and I will monitor the water levels again on the 17th and keep you updated. Kind Regards Ald Peter Sutton
